Terry Petano
Welcome to my writer profile, I'm a college graduate with a major in Biology and a minor in Math. I work in the biotechnology industry, live in New England with a variety of pets, and I've enjoyed writing both fiction and non-fiction since high school. My other experience includes my years and training in the volunteer fire service, from which I have gained a fire fighter I certification and a wealth of safety, first aid, and emergency response knowledge.
My goal as a writer on Suite101 is to write articles on science topics I think will be helpful to a large group of people and that I feel aren't discussed adequately elsewhere on the internet. Whether that is a third grade audience who needs information on the basic biological concepts at work in their class fish tank, or an adult concerned about current environental issues who is looking for information on the impact they have on the Earth of vice versa, I'd like to be a concise, interesting, helpful source.
My other hobby is writing reviews of movies as comparisons to the books they are based on. My tastes lie mainly in horror, science fiction, and thrillers. Hopefully you will also catch some of my review articles.
Thanks for taking the time to get to know me, and I hope you enjoy my work.
